Silver Clay Jewelry Making Class

Great for: First-timers and creative folks who like working with their hands and shaping things as they go. Easy to incorporate colorful cubic zirconia gemstones.

Make: Rings, pendants, earrings

Materials: Silver clay (included)

Booking fee: The class starts with a base booking fee. Final price may vary depending on your design and materials, and will be confirmed in the studio at checkout.

What you’ll do:

Silver clay feels a bit like pottery, but it turns into 99.9% pure silver after firing! You’ll roll, shape, carve, and texture your design — then fire it in a kiln. This is perfect if you enjoy working with your hands in a more organic way. Ideal for crafters or anyone who wants to try something unique.

A. Wax Carving Jewelry Class

Great for: Beginners, Intermediate makers, creatives who enjoy sculpting

Wax finished in this class can be casted:
🔹 in our B. Sand Casting Jewelry Class (See below)
🔹 send it out to cast and pick up later

Make: Rings

Materials: Carving wax (included); casting is done in a separate class

What you’ll do:

Using traditional lost-wax techniques, you’ll carve and sculpt your own ring design in wax. This is the first step of a two-part process (see Read More page). This workshop is perfect for makers who enjoy sculptural forms, think in three dimensions, and want to create a one-of-a-kind ring completely from scratch.

B. Sand Casting Jewelry Class

Great for: Students who already carved a wax piece (or completed our A. Wax Carving Jewelry Class)

This class can be taken:
🔹 Right after A. Wax Carving Jewelry Class for a complete “design-to-ring” experience in one day.
︎🔹 Separately on its own—we’ll provide simple wax or 3D-printed ring blanks if you’d like to experience casting without carving your own wax.

Make: One finished piece in 925 sterling silver

Materials: Casting service and silver included

Booking fee: The class starts with a base booking fee. Final price may vary depending on your design and materials, and will be confirmed in the studio at checkout.

What you’ll do:

In this class, we’ll take your carved wax and help you turn it into solid silver through the lost-wax casting process. After casting, we’ll teach you how to clean, polish, and finish the piece so it’s ready to wear or gift.

The Difference Between Sterling Silver / Gold Jewelry Making Class &
Silver Clay Class

Introduction of two materials:

  • Sterling silver(925 silver):
Sterling silver, or 925 silver, is a more rigid material that’s 92.5% silver mixed with other metals like copper. It’s ideal for creating strong, simple shapes like smooth bands or clean geometric lines.

  • Silver clay:
Silver clay is a malleable material made of fine silver particles mixed with an organic binder and water. It’s soft and easy to shape, making it perfect for intricate designs or creating custom textures. Once fired, it becomes 99.9% pure silver.

Compare the features of both:

  • Workability:

  • 925 silver is harder and better suited for sturdy, minimalist styles.

  • Silver clay (999 silver) is more flexible to work with, allowing for creative and detailed designs

  • Crafting process:
For silver clay, you’ll shape, mold, dry, and then fire it in a kiln to harden it. With 925 silver, you’ll shape it by bending, soldering, or hammering directly.

How to choose:

  • If you prefer a sleek and strong design, 925 silver might be a better fit.

  • If you’d like a piece with more texture or a custom shape, silver clay is a great choice.
